menneske.no should be usable by as many people as possible, regardless of assistive technology. The goal is to meet WCAG 2.1 at level AA. This is a self-assessment — menneske.no is a private, non-commercial service and is not subject to statutory reporting, but I want to be open about the current state.
Conformance status
Partial conformance with WCAG 2.1 level AA: most success criteria are met following a review in spring 2026, but a few minor points remain (see “Known limitations”).
What we have tested
- Keyboard navigation — every interactive puzzle and form can be operated without a mouse.
- Screen reader semantics — headings, labels, grid roles and status messages (aria-live).
- 200% zoom and reflow at 320px width without horizontal scrolling.
- Colour contrast in both light and dark themes.
- Manual testing combined with automated tools.
Last tested: 16 June 2026.
Known limitations
- Boggle is a real-time, timed puzzle and currently has no untimed practice mode (WCAG 2.2.1). The clock only starts on the first action and pauses when the tab is hidden.
- Some thin grid lines have marginal contrast; structure is reinforced by stronger box dividers.
